Jonathan Collins, doctoral student, UCLA department of political science, will discuss his research, which explores the relationship between social capital and education spending.  Collins received his English degree from Morehouse College and an MA in African American Studies from UCLA. Event attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions about the work.  Professor Vanessa Tyson will introduce Mr. Collins.  The event will have a moderator who will also lead a discussion on available on-campus support for young diverse scholars in the different graduate program at UCLA.

Unless noted, all events are free and open to the public. All-day parking ($12) and short-term parking (payable at pay stations) are available in Lots 2, 3 or 4 (enter the campus at Hilgard and Westholme avenues). UCLA is smoke-free and tobacco-free.
