The UCLA Hip Hop Initiative, a research initiative of the Bunche Center hosted a reception celebrating the release of the new book In the Hour of Chaos: Art & Activism with Public Enemy’s Chuck D. Written by HHI’s inaugural artist-in-residence, CHUCK D, the book explores the intersections of hip hop with Black radicalism and feminism, media and technology, and globalization and politics.
