In September, emerging leaders from the United States, United Kingdom, and South Africa united in London to commemorate Arthur Ashe’s historic 1975 Wimbledon win and launch the Global Youth Leadership Academy to begin exploring the values that defined Arthur Ashe’s life – equity, education, and social change – through collaborative research, leadership training, and deep dialogue on social transformation. A highlight was participation in the Renaissance Foundation’s annual Dragon’s Den challenge, where teams pitched innovative solutions to pressing global issues. Building on this momentum, the Academy will launch a virtual curriculum this fall, expanding access for young people worldwide to develop the skills, confidence, and vision to drive meaningful change in their communities.
