Happy Birthday, Duke Ellington! Jammin' for the Duke 4/29/16
On Friday, April 29, 2016 (Ellington’s Birthday), The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, Department of Ethnomusicology presents Jammin’ for the Duke, an annual birthday concert celebration honoring musical great, Duke Ellington. The concert will feature UCLA jazz students and faculty, including world renowned jazz guitarist and composer, Kenny Burrell. Burrell is a UCLA Distinguished Professor, Director of Jazz Studies at the Herb Alpert School of Music, and a Bunche Center affiliated faculty member.
