Library Connection

The Bunche Library and Media Center has materials in various formats accessible to faculty, researchers, and students. Library materials are non-circulating. Materials may not be checked out of the library or used elsewhere. Search the UCLA Library Catalog for commercially released materials or follow the links below. Please call or email to confirm desired materials are available for use. An appointment may be necessary to access materials. Please plan ahead.

Periodicals include academic journals, newspapers, newsletters, and magazines. The Bunche Center holds complete runs of some periodicals and sporadic issues of others.

The Media Collection includes movies, music, and events. Formats include VHS, DVD, and CD. Allow enough time to access desired material before the library closes.

The Oral History Collection consists of printed interview transcripts produced by UCLA Oral History Research Center. Various projects documenting Black Los Angeles life and culture are represented here. Bunche Center holdings are represented in the UCLA Library Catalog.

Theses and Dissertations written by UCLA graduate students are available to library visitors. A few theses (including dissertations) are represented in the UCLA Library Catalog, but many are not. Requests for specific theses are welcome, just contact the librarian using the information below.
