Cab Talks Highlight African American Voices at UCLA
July 28, 2016 – Colin “Cab” Washington wears many hats. He is a freelance journalist and blogger who covers a wide range of genres from sports and music to hard news. He is also entering his third year working for Residential Life at UCLA, where he promotes the intersection between student affairs and online media. Washington produces visual and audio media designed to cultivate campus community and civic engagement among students, particularly those of color.
Produced at UCLA’s own Studio 22, Washington’s podcasts, Cab Talks, seek to bring voices of black excellence to the student community and to provide role models who can spark ideas and help build pathways to success by discussing their personal journeys, campus concerns, and issues pertinent to the African American community on and off campus.
