Dr. Robeson Taj Frazier will discuss his recently published book, The East Is Black: Cold War China in the Black Radical Imagination (Duke Univ. Press, 2014). The book explores African American leftist radicals’ political relations with the People’s Republic of China from 1949-1976. Frazier is an Assistant Professor in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC.
